Biography
George Meyer is an American writer and producer. Born in Pennsylvania in 1956, he grew up in Tucson, Arizona. He graduated from Harvard University in 1978 with a degree in biochemistry, having served as president of the Harvard Lampoon.
After early writing work on series including Late Night with David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, Meyer joined the staff of The Simpsons in 1989. He has been credited as a writer on twelve episodes and as a producer, and co-wrote the screenplay for The Simpsons Movie (2007). He has won seven Primetime Emmy Awards.
