Biography
Ian Maxtone-Graham is an American television writer and producer. Born on 3 July 1959 in New York City, he is the son of maritime historian John Maxtone-Graham and great-nephew of writer Jan Struther. He attended Trinity School and Brown University.
He wrote for Saturday Night Live from 1992 to 1995, co-writing sketches including Adam Sandler's "The Chanukah Song". Maxtone-Graham joined The Simpsons in 1995 as a writer and producer, later serving as co-executive producer and consulting producer through the twenty-fourth season. He wrote or co-wrote numerous episodes, including the 200th episode "Trash of the Titans", and co-wrote the screenplay for The Simpsons Movie (2007). He has also written for Veep and contributed to Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe (2022).
Maxtone-Graham has received multiple Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on The Simpsons.
