Biography
George Newton is a British actor born on 5 April 1957 in Sedgefield, England. He made his screen debut as Gypsy John in Shane Meadows' Dead Man's Shoes (2004).
Meadows cast him again as Banjo in the film This Is England (2006) and its television sequels This Is England '86 (2010), This Is England '88 (2011) and This Is England '90 (2015). Newton has also appeared in Control (2007) as a studio owner, Inbred (2011) as Wilf, and Paddington (2014) in an uncredited role. He has directed two short films.
