Biography
Gerald Sullivan is a production designer and former art director. He began in the art department in the mid-1990s, working as a set designer and assistant art director on films including Face/Off (1997), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Minority Report (2002), Collateral (2004) and Superbad (2007). He advanced to art director roles on The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and Moonrise Kingdom (2012), and served as supervising art director on The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014).
As production designer, Sullivan’s credits include Rosewater (2014), Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015), The End of the Tour (2015), Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody (2022) and the series Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024), for which he won a Set Decorators Society of America Award. He trained at the Southern California Institute of Architecture before entering film.
