Biography
Hilary Bader (also credited as Hilary J. Bader) was an American television scriptwriter and comic book writer. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on 27 April 1952 and died in Duarte, California, on 7 November 2002.
She studied mathematics at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and mime in Paris. After touring the United States performing story theatre, she moved to Los Angeles and began writing for television, starting as a Writers Guild intern and contributing freelance scripts to Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Bader wrote episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Xena: Warrior Princess, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and animated series including Superman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures and Batman Beyond. She won two Daytime Emmy Awards for the latter two programmes, was nominated seven times in total, and wrote 38 books for DC Comics as well as episodes of the web series Gotham Girls.
