Biography
James Geoffrey Ian Norton is an English actor. Born on 18 July 1985 in Lambeth, London, he studied theology at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, before training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
He is known for his role as Tommy Lee Royce in the television series Happy Valley (2014–2023), for which he received a BAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 2015, as well as appearances in Grantchester (2014–2019), War & Peace (2016) and McMafia (2018). Film roles include John Brooke in Little Women (2019) and Gareth Jones in Mr. Jones (2019).
Norton played Chris Blackwell in the film Bob Marley: One Love (2024) and Sean Rafferty in the series House of Guinness (2025). He has also appeared in House of the Dragon and King & Conqueror (2025).
