Biography
Jim Chory is a television producer and director. He began his career in the 1980s as an assistant director on feature films including Atlantic City (1980), Zelig (1983), The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) and City Slickers (1991).
Chory moved into television production and directing in the 1990s and 2000s. He served as producer, co-executive producer and executive producer on Heroes (2006–2010), where he also directed three episodes. His later credits include executive producer roles on multiple Marvel series such as Marvel's Daredevil (2015), Marvel's Jessica Jones (2015), Marvel's Luke Cage (2016), Marvel's Iron Fist (2017), Marvel's The Punisher (2017) and Marvel's The Defenders (2017). He has also produced Dark Winds (2022–) and received Emmy nominations for his work.
