Biography
John Stuart Scott, also credited as John Scott or John S. Scott, is an American television director and producer. He was born on 11 October 1966 in Long Beach, California.
Scott began his career in the camera department in the early 1990s before making his directorial debut on the series Nip/Tuck in 2009. He has since directed episodes of Glee (2009), The Office (2010), Chuck, American Horror Story, Suits, The Magicians, You (2018–2023) and Star Trek: Discovery, among others. He served as executive producer on the fourth season of You while continuing to direct.
An episode of The Magicians that he directed was selected by Rolling Stone as one of the ten best television episodes of 2018.
