Biography
Johnny Klimek is an Australian composer, musician and record producer. Born in Melbourne in 1962, he began his career in the Berlin electronica scene before moving into film and television scoring.
He has frequently collaborated with Reinhold Heil and director Tom Tykwer. Their joint scores include Run Lola Run (1998), Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006) and Cloud Atlas (2012), the last of which earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Score. Klimek and Heil scored the HBO series Deadwood (2004–2006) and its 2019 film sequel, as well as Without a Trace, Sense8 and Babylon Berlin.
