Biography

Stefan Arndt is a German film producer. Born in Munich on 28 August 1961, he co-founded the production company X-Filme Creative Pool in 1994 with Tom Tykwer, Wolfgang Becker and Dani Levy. He had earlier co-founded Liebesfilm with Tykwer in 1992 and been involved in Berlin cinema collectives from the mid-1980s.

Arndt produced Run Lola Run (1998) and numerous other X-Filme productions, including Good Bye, Lenin! (2003), The White Ribbon (2009), Amour (2012) and Cloud Atlas (2012). He served as managing director of X-Filme until stepping down from the day-to-day role in 2024 while remaining associated with the company as a producer.
