Biography
Julian Doyle is a British film editor and director. Born in London in July 1942, he trained at the London Film School after earlier work in scientific research and began his freelance career in filmmaking and editing.
He is known for his long collaboration with Monty Python, serving as editor on Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979) and Monty Python's The Meaning of Life (1983), and contributing to production and effects on Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975). He also edited and handled effects for Terry Gilliam's Time Bandits (1981) and Brazil (1985), and edited The Wind in the Willows (1996).
Doyle has directed feature films including Love Potion (1987) and Chemical Wedding (2008), the latter co-written with Bruce Dickinson. He has directed music videos and written books on film and history.
