Biography

Julius Ramsay is an American director, editor and producer. He began his career editing documentary and reality series before working on drama serials including Alias, Battlestar Galactica (2006–2009) and The Walking Dead (2010–2015). His editing work earned three Primetime Emmy nominations.

Ramsay attended Dartmouth College. He transitioned to directing with episodes of The Walking Dead and has since directed episodes of Scream: The TV Series (2015), Outcast (2016), Krypton (2018) and The Purge (2018). His feature directorial debut was the 2017 thriller Midnighters, which he also produced; he later directed The Current Occupant (2020) for the Into the Dark anthology.

He frequently collaborates with his brother Alston Ramsay, who wrote the screenplay for Midnighters.
