Biography
Leo Trombetta is a film and television editor. He began by making his own 8mm films as a child and later worked as a sound editor on features including films directed by Spike Lee, Brian De Palma and Sidney Lumet. He moved into picture editing with the 1993 feature Amongst Friends and has since edited more than a dozen films and numerous television series.
Trombetta edited episodes of Mad Men (2007–2012) and received an Emmy nomination for the series. He won a Primetime Emmy and an ACE Eddie for editing the HBO film Temple Grandin (2010). Other credits include Little Children (2006), True Detective (2019), The Outsider (2020), 13 Reasons Why (2017–2018) and Narcos.
A graduate of Temple University’s School of Theater, Film and Media Arts (1979), Trombetta is a member of the American Cinema Editors.
