Biography
Andrew Bernstein is an American television director and producer. He is the son of actress Judith Braun and Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Walter Bernstein, and brother to journalist Jake Bernstein. He attended Bowdoin College.
Bernstein worked as an assistant director on films including Little Big League (1994), 12 Monkeys (1995), Eraser (1996) and Batman & Robin (1997). He directed the short film Rooftop Kisses in 2002. He has directed episodes of series including House, Elementary (2012), Ozark (2017), The Umbrella Academy (2019), Foundation (2021) and The Diplomat (2023). He has also served as a producer or executive producer on House, Fear the Walking Dead (2015) and The Outsider (2020).
Bernstein is married to Jennifer Barrett and has two daughters, Lili and Emma.
