Biography
Loren Yaconelli is an American television director and cinematographer. She is the daughter of cinematographer Steve Yaconelli, an ASC member, and production supervisor Yvonne Yaconelli. After studying psychology at California State University, she entered the camera department as a film loader and progressed through roles including second assistant camera on features such as Never Been Kissed (1999) and camera operator on series including Heroes, True Blood and Ray Donovan.
Yaconelli became a director of photography on Ray Donovan and subsequently shot episodes of House of Lies, Shameless and Animal Kingdom. She joined the American Society of Cinematographers in 2021. As a director she has worked on Shameless (2011), directing two episodes in 2019, as well as The Walking Dead (2010), The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020), SEAL Team (2017), FBI (2018), Animal Kingdom (2016) and The Walking Dead: Dead City (2023).
