Biography

Luca Bigazzi is an Italian cinematographer born in Milan. He began working in advertising in 1977 before moving into cinema, making his debut as director of photography on Silvio Soldini's Paesaggio con figure in 1983.

Bigazzi has collaborated extensively with directors including Paolo Sorrentino, on films such as The Consequences of Love (2004), Il Divo (2008), This Must Be the Place (2011), The Great Beauty (2013) and Youth (2015), as well as with Abbas Kiarostami on Certified Copy (2010). He has also worked with Silvio Soldini, Gianni Amelio and others.

He has received multiple awards for his work, including several David di Donatello awards for best cinematography and a Primetime Emmy nomination for the series The Young Pope (2016).
