Biography
Mairzee Almas is a Canadian television director from Vancouver, British Columbia. She trained as an actress at the F.T.S. Performing Arts Conservatory and graduated from the Foundation Film Program at Vancouver Film School. She began her career in production roles, working as a first assistant director on numerous film and television projects before directing episodes of Smallville and Da Vinci's Inquest.
Almas has directed over seventy episodes of television, including episodes of Being Human (2011), The 100, Outlander, Lucifer, The Sandman, Shadow and Bone, Locke & Key and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. She served as co-executive producer and director on the second season of Impulse. She has received multiple directing award nominations, including Leo Awards and Directors Guild of Canada nominations. Her work spans network, cable and streaming platforms.
