Biography
Marc Maron is an American actor, stand-up comedian and podcast host. Born on 27 September 1963 in Jersey City, New Jersey, he has appeared in numerous films and television series, often in supporting or voice roles.
His film credits include Joker (2019) as Gene Ufland, Almost Famous (2000) as the Angry Promoter, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates (2016) as Randy, and Spenser Confidential (2020) as Wayne Cosgrove. He voiced characters in The Bad Guys (2022) and its sequel, DC League of Super-Pets (2022) as Lex Luthor, and Adventure Time (2010). In 2025 he portrayed Chuck Plotkin in Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.
Maron is also known for hosting the podcast WTF with Marc Maron and for earlier television work including appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and hosting Comedy Central's Short Attention Span Theater.
