Biography
Marianne Maddalena is an American film and television producer. She began her career in the mid-1980s as an assistant to director Wes Craven on Deadly Friend (1986) and The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988), later becoming his producing partner through the company Craven/Maddalena Films.
She produced or executive produced several of Craven’s films, including Shocker (1989), The People Under the Stairs (1991), Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994), Scream (1996, executive producer), Scream 2 (1997), Music of the Heart (1999), Scream 3 (2000) and Scream 4 (2011). New Nightmare received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Feature. Music of the Heart earned two Academy Award nominations.
Maddalena continued as executive producer on later entries in the Scream franchise, including the 2022 film, Scream VI (2023) and Scream 7 (2026), as well as the television series Scream (2015–2019). She is also credited on films such as Red Eye (2005), The Hills Have Eyes (2006) and The Last House on the Left (2009).
