Biography
Marjorie Bennett was an Australian actress. Born in York, Western Australia, on 15 January 1896, she began her career in silent films in 1917 and later worked primarily in the United States.
She appeared in bit parts in films including Monsieur Verdoux (1947) as Marie's Maid, Limelight (1952) as Mrs Sybil Alsop, Sabrina (1954), What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962) as Dehlia Flagg, and provided voices for One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) as Duchess and Mary Poppins (1964) as Miss Lark. Her television work included recurring roles in The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis and Lassie.
Bennett was the sister of actresses Enid Bennett and Catherine Bennett. She was married to William Cady Jr from 1932 until his death in 1976, and died in Hollywood, California, on 14 June 1982.
