Biography

Mark Bomback is an American screenwriter. Born on 29 August 1971 in New Rochelle, New York, he graduated from Wesleyan University, where he studied English literature and film studies.

His early credits include the 1998 thriller The Night Caller. He went on to write the screenplay and story for Live Free or Die Hard (2007). Bomback later contributed to the Planet of the Apes reboot series, writing Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017), both also as executive producer on the latter two. Other screenplays include The Wolverine (2013), Total Recall (2012), Unstoppable (2010) and Race to Witch Mountain (2009).
