Biography
Marshall Lancaster is an English actor born on 5 October 1974 in Macclesfield, Cheshire. He is best known for playing Detective Constable Chris Skelton in the BBC series Life on Mars (2006–2007) and its spin-off Ashes to Ashes (2008–2010).
His other television credits include the role of Buzzer Edwards in Doctor Who (2011) and appearances in Casualty (as Keith Parr and Perry Dans), Coronation Street (as Slug) and Holby City. He began acting in the late 1990s after training and performing with youth theatre groups in Macclesfield, and also appeared in stage productions such as an adaptation of The Railway Children.
Lancaster's acting career ran from around 2000 to 2012. In 2013 he founded Marshall Lancaster Plastering, a construction company based in Macclesfield.
