Biography
Massimo Morante was an Italian guitarist, composer and multi-instrumentalist. He co-founded the progressive rock band Goblin in the early 1970s alongside Claudio Simonetti.
As a core member of Goblin, Morante contributed to several notable film soundtracks, including Suspiria (1977), Dawn of the Dead (1978) and Tenebre (1982). He also worked on scores for Deep Red (1975) and Martin (1978).
Born in Rome on 6 October 1952, Morante died on 23 June 2022.
