Biography
Matthew Maher is an American actor. He was born on 5 October 1971 in Arkabutla, Mississippi, and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he attended high school with Ben Affleck.
Maher has an extensive career in theatre, performing at venues including the Public Theater and winning an Obie Award for his performance in The Race of the Ark Tattoo (1999). His film credits include Dogma (1999), Gone Baby Gone (2007), It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010), Captain Marvel (2019), Funny Pages (2022) and Air (2023), in which he played Peter Moore. He has also appeared in television series such as Our Flag Means Death (2022–2023) and provided additional work for the video game Grand Theft Auto V (2013). He is set to appear as James in The Bride! (2026).
