Biography

Michael Berenbaum is an American film and television editor. Born in Philadelphia in 1962, he graduated from New York University’s film school. He began his career as an apprentice editor on films including The Cotton Club (1984) and worked as an assistant editor on several Coen brothers productions such as Raising Arizona (1987) and Miller’s Crossing (1990).

Berenbaum has edited feature films including Basquiat (1996), Before Night Falls (2000) and What to Expect When You’re Expecting (2012). His television credits include Sex and the City (1998–2004), The Wire, Nurse Jackie, Desperate Housewives (2004) and The Americans (2013). He has received a Primetime Emmy Award and other nominations for his editing work.
