Biography

Michael Cyril Creighton is an American actor. He was born in 1979 on Long Island, New York, and raised there by his mother and maternal grandparents. He graduated from Emerson College in 2001.

Creighton is best known for playing Howard Morris in the series Only Murders in the Building (2021–), Joe Crowley in Spotlight (2015), and Patrick in High Maintenance (2016–2019). Other film roles include appearances in The Post (2017), Game Night (2018), Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018) and American Fiction (2023). He created and starred in the web series Jack in a Box (2009–2012), which won a Writers Guild of America Award.

On stage, he originated roles in productions including the world premiere of Jordan Harrison's The Amateurs at the Vineyard Theater and the New York premiere of Sarah Ruhl's Stage Kiss at Playwrights Horizons, for which he received an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination. He has worked frequently with the Brooklyn-based company The Debate Society and was a founding member of the New York Neo-Futurists.
