Biography
Michael Novotny is a production designer, art director and visual effects artist who has worked in film and television for close to four decades.
He began in Los Angeles as a sculptor and visual effects model maker, with experience in blue and green screen composites and motion control systems. He has contributed to numerous feature films, including True Lies (1994), The Arrival (1996) and K-19: The Widowmaker (2002).
In television, he served as production designer on series including Supernatural (2005), The Mentalist (2008–2015), Better Call Saul (2017) and The Affair (2018–2019).
