Biography
Michiel Huisman is a Dutch actor and musician. Born on 18 July 1981 in Amstelveen, he began acting in the Netherlands as a child and performed as singer and guitarist with the band Fontane before pursuing solo music releases.
Huisman first gained international attention playing Sonny, a Dutch musician, in the HBO series Treme (2010–2013). He later portrayed Daario Naharis in Game of Thrones (2014–2016), replacing the original actor, and appeared in films including World War Z (2013), The Age of Adaline (2015) and Wild (2014).
More recent credits include Steven Crain in The Haunting of Hill House (2018), Gunnar in Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire (2023) and its 2024 sequel, and roles in The Flight Attendant (2020) and Echo 3 (2022–2023).
