Biography
Pat Roach (1937–2004) was an English actor and former professional wrestler. He played Brian 'Bomber' Busbridge, the West Country bricklayer, in the television series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet (1983–2004).
Born Francis Patrick Roach in Birmingham, he wrestled competitively under names including 'Bomber' Pat Roach and held the British and European heavyweight championships. He began acting in the 1970s with roles in Barry Lyndon (1975) and went on to appear in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Never Say Never Again (1983), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), Willow (1988) and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991).
Roach ran a health club in Birmingham and wrote two books. He died of cancer in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
