Biography
Paul Marquardt was a German-born composer, orchestrator and music arranger who worked in Hollywood. Born on 13 January 1889 in Rudolstadt, he contributed to films from the late 1920s to the 1950s.
His credits include composer on A Farewell to Arms (1932). He worked as orchestrator or arranger on films such as The Wizard of Oz (1939), It's a Wonderful Life (1946), High Noon (1952) and Red River (1948). He appeared as an actor in Sweethearts (1938).
Marquardt died on 30 October 1960 in Los Angeles.
