Biography
Peter Werner (1947–2023) was an American film and television director. In 1977 he won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for In the Region of Ice. He directed episodes of numerous series, including Moonlighting (1985), The Wonder Years (1988) and Justified (2010).
Werner studied at Dartmouth College, Antioch University and the American Film Institute. He received four Emmy Award nominations for his work in television. He was the older brother of television producer Tom Werner.
