Biography
Reg E. Cathey was an American actor. Born in Huntsville, Alabama, on 18 August 1958, he studied at the University of Michigan and Yale University before making his screen debut in 1984.
He appeared in films including The Mask (1994), Se7en (1995) as Dr. Santiago, American Psycho (2000) and Fantastic Four (2015) as Dr. Franklin Storm. On television he played Norman Wilson in The Wire, Martin Querns in Oz, and Freddy Hayes in House of Cards (2013–2016), the last earning him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 2015. He died on 9 February 2018.
