Biography

Richard A. Harris is an American film editor. He was born on 6 February 1934 in New York City and graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 1956.

Harris has worked extensively with directors including Michael Ritchie and James Cameron. His credits include Downhill Racer (1969), The Candidate (1972), The Bad News Bears (1976), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), The Bodyguard (1992), Last Action Hero (1993), True Lies (1994) and Titanic (1997). He shared the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for Titanic and received a nomination for Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Other credits include L.A. Story (1991), The Golden Child (1986), Fletch (1985) and the television film Indictment: The McMartin Trial (1995), for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award.
