Biography
Mark Goldblatt is an American film editor and director. He studied at the University of Wisconsin and the London Film School. His early career included work at Roger Corman’s New World Pictures.
Goldblatt is known for his collaborations with James Cameron, editing The Terminator (1984), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), for which he received an Academy Award nomination, and True Lies (1994). He has also edited films including X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Armageddon (1998) and Chappie (2015). He directed Dead Heat (1988) and The Punisher (1989).
Goldblatt is a former president of the American Cinema Editors and received the organisation’s Career Achievement Award in 2018. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
