Biography
Conrad Buff IV (born 8 July 1948) is an American film editor. He has more than 25 feature film credits since 1985 and is known particularly for his work with directors James Cameron and Antoine Fuqua.
Buff began in visual effects editing on films including The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Ghostbusters (1984). His first editing credit was as co-editor on Jagged Edge (1985). He later edited four Cameron films, including The Abyss (1989), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) and Titanic (1997), for which he shared the Academy Award for Best Film Editing with Cameron and Richard A. Harris. He has edited eight films for Fuqua, among them Training Day (2001), The Equalizer 2 (2018) and The Equalizer 3 (2023).
Buff also won a Satellite Award for Best Editing for Thirteen Days (2000). His other credits include Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) and Michael (2026).
