Biography
Gale Anne Hurd is an American film and television producer. She was born on 25 October 1955 in Los Angeles, California, and graduated from Stanford University. She began her career working for producer Roger Corman at New World Pictures before forming her own company, Pacific Western Productions (later Valhalla Entertainment), in 1982.
Hurd produced The Terminator (1984), which she co-wrote, Aliens (1986), The Abyss (1989) and Armageddon (1998). She has also served as executive producer on the television series The Walking Dead (2010–2022) and its spin-offs. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.
