Biography
Alan Marshall (born 12 August 1938) is a British film producer.
He began his career as a film editor before moving into commercials production. In 1970 he co-founded an advertising company with director Alan Parker; the pair later established the production company that made their first feature, the 1976 musical Bugsy Malone. Their next collaboration was the 1978 drama Midnight Express.
Marshall went on to produce films including Jacob's Ladder (1990), Basic Instinct (1992), Cliffhanger (1993), Showgirls (1995), Starship Troopers (1997) and Hollow Man (2000), several of them directed by Paul Verhoeven.
