Biography

Richard Clark is a British television director. He began his career in documentary before moving into drama after directing the award-winning short film Hungry.

He is known for directing episodes of Life on Mars (2007), Doctor Who (including the Hugo Award-winning episode The Doctor’s Wife), Outlander (2015), Versailles (2018), Innocent (2018) and War of the Worlds (2019–2021). As a writer he co-created the ITV series The Bay.
