Biography
Rick Wallace (born Richard C. Wallace) is an American television director and producer. He began his career as an assistant director on the feature film Halloween (1978) and served as first assistant director on the series Hill Street Blues (1981–1983) before directing ten episodes of the show between 1983 and 1985.
Wallace is known for directing episodes of numerous series, including L.A. Law, NYPD Blue, The Pretender, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Smallville, Las Vegas, The Closer and Major Crimes. He also worked extensively as a producer on L.A. Law (1988–1993) and The Closer (2005–2012). He received three Primetime Emmy Awards for outstanding drama series for his producing work on L.A. Law and a Directors Guild of America Award for an episode of Hill Street Blues.
