Biography
Rita Davies was a British actress. She was born on 24 February 1933 in Hertfordshire, England, and died on 19 January 2016 in Esher, Surrey.
She appeared as the Historian's Wife in Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) and had roles in several episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus. Later credits include Children of Men (2006), The Da Vinci Code (2006), The Best Offer (2013) as Mrs Derain, and Beauty and the Beast (2017). She also appeared in television series such as Sherlock, The Inbetweeners and Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa. Davies was married to director Ian MacNaughton.
