Biography
Robert Stromberg is an American production designer, visual effects artist and film director. He began his career as a matte painter and visual effects supervisor on television series including Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager, earning Emmy Awards for his work.
Stromberg served as co-production designer on James Cameron’s Avatar (2009), sharing an Academy Award for Best Production Design. He won a second Oscar for production design on Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (2010). He made his directorial debut with the Disney film Maleficent (2014).
