Biography

Rick Carter is an American production designer. Born in Los Angeles in 1952, he is known for his work on major films including Jurassic Park (1993), Forrest Gump (1994), Avatar (2009), Lincoln (2012), Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019).

He has collaborated extensively with directors Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis. Carter won Academy Awards for Best Production Design for Avatar and Lincoln.
