Biography
Sally Phillips is a British actress and comedian. She was born on 10 May 1970 in Hong Kong and studied Italian at New College, Oxford.
She first came to prominence as Sophie in the BBC series I'm Alan Partridge (1997). Phillips co-created and wrote the Channel 4 sketch show Smack the Pony (1999–2003). She is known for playing Shazzer in the Bridget Jones films, including Bridget Jones's Diary (2001), Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004), Bridget Jones's Baby (2016) and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (2025).
Other television roles include Tash Vine in Jam & Jerusalem and Tilly in Miranda. She has also appeared in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016) as Mrs Bennet.
