Biography

Colin Firth is an English actor. He trained at the Drama Centre in London after early work in theatre.

He is known for roles including Mark Darcy in the Bridget Jones series, appearing in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (2025), and Noah Scanlon in Disclosure Day (2026). Other credits include King George VI in The King's Speech (2010), Harry Hart in the Kingsman films (2014, 2017), and appearances in Love Actually (2003) and Mamma Mia! (2008).

Firth received the Academy Award for Best Actor for The King's Speech. He was appointed CBE in 2011 for services to drama.
