Biography
Samuel Anderson is an English actor. Born on 27 April 1982 in Handsworth, Birmingham, he trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London.
He originated the role of Crowther in the 2004 National Theatre production of Alan Bennett's The History Boys and reprised it in the 2006 film adaptation and other international stagings. His television work includes the recurring role of Fingers in Gavin & Stacey (2007–2024), Ross Kirk in Emmerdale (2007–2009), and Danny Pink in Doctor Who (2014). He plays Mal in the comedy series Amandaland (2025–present).
Other screen credits include appearances in The Lady in the Van (2015), Gunpowder Milkshake (2021) and Back to Black (2024).
