Biography

Sean Callery is an American composer of film and television scores. Born in 1964 in Hartford, Connecticut, he studied piano performance at the New England Conservatory of Music, graduating in 1987. He began his career in Los Angeles working with digital audio technology before moving into scoring.

Callery is best known for his scores for the series 24 (2001–2010), Homeland, Marvel's Jessica Jones, Bones and La Femme Nikita. He has also composed for Halo and the 2021 film The Marksman. He wrote the main title theme and co-scored the Netflix limited series The Beast in Me (2025).

Callery has received five Primetime Emmy Awards, including for The Beast in Me.
