Biography
David Fury is an American television writer, producer, director and actor. Born on 5 March 1959 in New York City, he began his career as a stand-up comic and wrote for comedy series including The Jackie Thomas Show, House of Buggin' and Pinky and the Brain.
Fury wrote and directed episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) and its spin-off Angel (1999), serving as producer on both. He later wrote for Lost (2004), 24 (2001), Fringe (2008), Hannibal (2013), Homeland (2011) and 9-1-1 (2018), among other series. He has received Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series for his work on Lost and 24, and a Writers Guild of America Award for Lost.
Fury is married to screenwriter Elin Hampton.
