Biography
Sebastian Armesto is an English actor born on 3 June 1982. He is the son of historian Felipe Fernández-Armesto and was educated at Eton College.
Armesto has appeared in numerous film and television roles, including Charles V in The Tudors (2007), King Ferdinand in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011), Ben Jonson in Anonymous (2011), Lieutenant Mitaka in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), and Clive Lucas in Broadchurch (2013). Other credits include Little Dorrit (2008), Poldark (2016), The Terror (2018), Cursed (2020) and Gangs of London (2020).
He has performed in theatre productions at the National Theatre and Royal Court, and writes and directs for the company Simple 8.
