Biography

Stephen Campbell Moore is a British actor, also credited as Stephen Thorpe or Stephen Moore Thorpe. Born in London on 30 November 1979, he trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

He created the role of Irwin in the original West End production of Alan Bennett's play The History Boys (2004) and reprised it in the 2006 film adaptation, as well as in international stage productions. His screen credits include The Bank Job (2008), Season of the Witch (2011), Downton Abbey (2019), War of the Worlds (2019–2021) and The Union (2024). More recent television work includes the role of Tony Lundy in The Gold (2023) and Leo Hanratty in Criminal Record (2024).
