Biography
Steve O'Donnell is an American television writer. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he graduated from Harvard College in 1976 and later undertook graduate studies in American history.
He worked on Late Night with David Letterman from near its inception, serving as head writer for much of his nearly decade-long tenure and contributing to the creation of the Top Ten List. He later became head writer of Jimmy Kimmel Live! from the show's debut in 2003 until 2008. O'Donnell wrote two episodes of Seinfeld in 1996 and 1997, and two episodes of The Simpsons in 1998.
His other credits include work on The Chris Rock Show and The Bonnie Hunt Show. He is the identical twin of the late writer Mark O'Donnell.
